CANDLELIGHT Care and Aster joined forces to help vulnerable people in the South West to remain safe and independent in their own homes on Tuesday.
An assistive technology room was opened in its Trowbridge office by Candlelight Care owner Cherry Catley-Day.
The room will help to raise awareness of the range of equipment which the Aster Group can supply to create a safe environment for people wishing to remain at home, rather than be admitted into residential care.
Andrew Murrison, MP for South West Wiltshire, said: “I am delighted to see this wonderful initiative being launched in the heart of my constituency.
“Helping vulnerable people to stay safely in their own homes for as long as they wish is a very worthwhile activity, and I commend the Aster Group and Candlelight Care for working together to achieve this.”
Guests on the open day were able to watch demonstrations of the technology available, with equipment supplied by Tynetec and talk to representatives from both organisations.
