POLICE believe a spate of thefts in the Boundary Walk and Grove areas of Trowbridge could be linked.

They think two men who were seen in the area could be behind the thefts from parked vehicles in Frome Road, Boundary Walk, Cedar Grove, Beech Grove and Hazel Grove on Friday night.

The majority of the thefts saw tools and satnavs stolen from cars parked in residential areas. In Boundary Walk a number of power tools, a satnav with its charger and small items were stolen from three cars.

The thieves also stole satnavs, tools, socket chargers and even sweets from the cars parked in the Grove areas of the town.

PC Mark Hough, of Trowbridge Police, said: “We have had a spate of thefts which seem to have occurred in the small hours of Saturday in the Grove area and Boundary Walk. If anyone has seen anything or has any information they are asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.”

Wiltshire Police also wishes to remind car owners to ensure their doors are securely locked before leaving them parked overnight.
