A HERD of alpacas was savaged in Southwick over Christmas, leading to five of them dying.
A total of six animals from the herd, kept on grassland in Hoopers Pool, were attacked sometime between 12pm on Christmas Day and 10am the following day and only one survived.
It is believed a dog attacked them due to the size of the incisions, but this has not yet been confirmed.
