A FIRE that was started in a post box took hold of a block of flats in Trowbridge on Sunday.
The fire service attended the scene at Sheridan Gardens with two crews from Trowbridge after being called at around 11am and managed to put it out by 11.30am.
Police also attended the fire and are treating it as suspected arson.
A police spokesman said: “Three post boxes were damaged in the communal area.
“It is believed this was started deliberately. Local residents have been spoken to by police and anyone who witnessed anything should call police on 101.”
There were no injuries and everyone was accounted for, but damage has been caused to the downstairs communal area.
