AROUND 100 diners and VIPs enjoyed a feast of healthy food at the launch of Peri Peri Box in Fore Street, Trowbridge, last week.

Peri Peri Box offers a combination of fine dining for 60-80 covers and quality takeaway able to order in the restaurant or online.

Restaurant manager, Mohammed Hussain, 38, said: "The atmosphere was fantastic and we've had really good feedback already.

"It's somewhere you can eat with the whole family. Eating out doesn't have to be unhealthy. And you don't have to travel to Bath or Bristol to find somewhere that offers something different.”

The menu includes chicken burgers, wraps, strips, wings and pitta, as well as traditional ¼ chickens, alongside vegetarian and children's alternatives.

“I've worked in restaurants for 30 years,” added Mr Hussain. “Running the Cinnamon Lounge in town means I have a good relation with the community.

“To showcase our website, we are offering 10 per cent off online orders and already taking more than 20 orders a night.

Mayor Linda Self, 64, who has lived in the town for 40 years, was joined at the launch by MP for Wiltshire Andrew Murrison, as he took to the campaign trail ahead of the local elections.

Mr Hussain is hoping to expand his empire by opening a third, dessert-focussed venue on Fore Street this summer.
