A SIX-A-SIDE football tournament on Sunday aims to raise money for Dorothy House and the Trowbridge Wanderers Football Club.
Last year more than £1,360 was raised by more than 80 players and 150 spectators; and organiser Steve Jones, who won in 2016 with his team One Size Fitz All, hopes to beat that target this year.
The tournament kicks off at 11am at Trowbridge Cricket Club, The County Ground, on Sunday. As per last year, all games should be wrapped up by 5pm to allow for an evening of live music and a BBQ feast for the hungry players and their families and friends.
The club will also be promoting their new children's cricket clubs, suitable for ages five to eight. Sessions take place every Wednesday and bookings can be made on www.allstarscricket.co.uk at it is part of a nationwide scheme, supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
