A RENAULT loving motorist was 'over the moon' that a North Bradley dealership would go to all the trouble of giving him a special prize after he bought another car from there, his 20th so far.

Philip Kelley, from Potterne, bought his first Renault - a 14 GTL - in February 1981 and over the last few decades he has worked his way through a succession of models from the Platinum Renault dealership, off Westbury Road.

And on Friday, just after he had bought a new Renault Clio Dynamique S in Iron Blue, the dealership presented him with a framed montage of all his previous Renault cars to thank him for his loyalty.

"I love the style of the cars, Renault tends to have a design that all the other manufacturers follow. The reliability is excellent and none of my Renaults have ever let me down," said Mr Kelley.

"The garages and people also keep me coming back. Everyone I have ever met in a Renault dealership has been so friendly and helpful, right from when I bought my first one.

"Platinum Renault look after me very well and I have known Matt Bailey, the sales manager, for over 14 years. I always get a good deal and this one was no different.

"Back in 1981 I went to a Renault garage in Reading and I remember how well I was treated by them and ever since then, I have always bought Renault cars. I was not always into them but ever since then, it has been my car of choice.

"I am over the moon that they would go to all this trouble for me. It was such a lovely gesture from them. Maybe I will be back again in the future to buy another one."

Mr Kelley, who never keeps more than one car at a time, was also given a complimentary two-year service plan with his new car, ensuring that he will not need to pay for any forthcoming services and his motoring is as fuss-free as possible.

The retired railway worker tends to buy a new car every 18 months or so and some of the cars he has bought from the dealership include the 5, 11, 19, Mégane and, most recently, the Clio supermini.

Mr Bailey said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to have Philip as a customer and we are delighted that he is so fond of Renault. We would like to thank him for letting Platinum Renault assist him with his cars for the last 22 years and for being a fan of the brand for over 35 years.
