Four people have been arrested following a burglary in Trowbridge in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to Chantry Gardens in Southwick after a resident woke to find two or three people in her hallway at around 4.45am, who ran from the scene.
The woman noticed her house keys and two car keys had been stolen, along with her handbag.
All four arrested males, aged 16, 23, 27 and 42 remain in custody in Melksham for questioning.
The missing keys have been located but the handbag is still outstanding.
Detective Constable Kev Keast said: "Although four people are in custody and the keys have now been found, we are still looking for the handbag which contained two wallets and bank cards.
"We'd like to appeal to anyone who has information on this incident, or anyone who locates the handbag in the Southwick area to get in touch via 101."
