CCTV images have been released as police are appealing for information after a man stole two drills from a Trowbridge B&Q store before punching an off duty copper.

The police have released images of a man the force would like to speak to following the incident.

A man entered the store in Bradley Road, stole two drills and then assaulted an off duty police officer, who was in the shop at the time and attempted to stop the thief.

The culprit then ran off, leaving the drills behind. The incident took place on November 11 between 11am and midday.
