YOUNG wannabe witches and wizards felt the magic at Trowbridge Library on Thursday for the annual Harry Potter night.
More than 100 children enjoyed a spellbinding fancy dress evening at County Hall, which this year included a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them theme.
The feverishly excited youngsters were sorted into different houses at Hogwarts, enjoyed a treasure hunt and quiz, a makeshift Quidditch game, got their photos taken at the prison of Azkaban, wand duels and much more.
Librarian and organiser Tracy Hager said: “It was just a magical evening for everyone involved. So many of the children came dressed up and even a few parents brought capes and wands too.
“This is such a brilliant way to bring books to life. We also had Professor Trelawney down for the day to do palm reading which was a big hit.
“Many other libraries also did this across Wiltshire. There was an incredible enthusiasm about the place.”
