A MECHANIC who has spent more than 20 years in the trade says he is delighted to open his new business in Southwick.
Paul Norris' Norris Auto Services opened for business last week, taking over the old Southwick Service Centre, in Frome Road.
The 37-year-old is running the place with partner Sammy Jones and technician Nathan Collins is helping him with the MOT's, servicing and repairs to cars and small vans.
After working at Heritage Peugeot for 18 years in Westbury and working out of garage in Dilton Marsh for three years, Mr Norris says it was a no brainer to take up this opportunity to help his business grow.
"It has been a pretty hectic start but what has made it much better is the fact that locals have responded very well to this," said Mr Norris, who lives in Westbury with Ms Jones.
"Locals are very pleased that the whole thing didn't completely close down. I have had lots of bookings and jobs already so it is a very encouraging start.
"My family were all in the trade so going to them for advice is invaluable. It is a great opportunity to grow my businesses as it could only go so far back in Dilton Marsh.
"This is a very exciting time and I want to thank everyone in the community for making us feel so welcome."
