MORE than 65 Easter eggs will be heading off to children at a Wiltshire hospice thanks to the generosity of the Trowbridge public.

The Shires Shopping Centre launched an Easter egg appeal to send the chocolatey goods to the 50 families across Wiltshire that are supported by Julia’s House.

And on Thursday, Shires centre manager Sarah Louise Moore handed over 68 Easter eggs, smashing her target of 50, to the hospice in Devizes.

“We are delighted that the Shires Shopping Centre decided to support Julia’s House Children’s Hospice by donating Easter Eggs for our children and their families,” said the community fundraising assistant, Nicky Clack.

“We rely on the support of the community in a variety of different ways, and helping to create special memories for our children and families is a big part of the care that we provide. I’m sure that they are all thrilled.”

“It’s a great cause and we are so happy to help,” said Sarah.
