TROWBRIDGE'S Premier League football star Nathan Dyer took dozens of families to a behind the scenes tour of Swansea's Liberty Stadium.

A party of 54 parents and children from the Trowbridge Area, along with Active Trowbridge Soccer Schools staff, travelled to the venue, which is home Swansea City Football Club and the Ospreys Rugby Team.

Former Trowbridge Town youth player Dyer met the excited visitors and then answered their questions about his career, which includes being part of the Leicester City team who won the Premier League in 2016.

Esther Ruth Hayward, who posted on Active Trowbridge's Facebook page, said: "Fantastic day out - we all had a great time. Thanks for organising it so well."

Nicky Matthews added: "Thank you, the boys had a fantastic time."

Active Trowbridge's Aaron Seviour said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Swansea and a special thank you to Nathan for so generously giving his time to meet the children."

The group also met with club mascot Cyril The Swan, who was introduced to his Active Trowbridge counterpart Trowbridge Ted.
