TROWBRIDGE-based Withy King Solicitors has become the first law firm in the UK to be invited to join an exclusive international referral network.
Withy King has joined Warwick Legal Network (WLN), an international association of independent law firms that provides a high quality, legal service to clients throughout Europe.
WLN currently comprises law firms in 18 European countries, with further expansion plans in the pipeline.
Chris Kane, Partner and Head of Business Development at Withy King, said: "Our commercial practice provides a wide range of services to companies of all sizes, many of whom are trading successfully in Europe - or are thinking seriously about European expansion.
"However, increasingly strict EU regulations mean businesses need specialist cross-border advice and guidance from those with an intricate knowledge of local laws.
"By joining Warwick Legal Network, we can confidently refer our clients to specialists in any one of 18 European countries whose services and approach mirrors ours - in the same way that they can refer European clients with a UK interest to us."
International legal services are most commonly requested in relation to employment, commercial property, insolvency and company restructuring.
Martin Powell, Managing Partner at Withy King, added: "The firm has ambitious plans to expand its commercial and private client practices.
"Since opening a London office in 2005, the firm has significantly grown its national client portfolio and is now in a position to offer a seamless European service, as well as deal with work from European companies looking for UK-based expertise."
