Police in Trowbridge have been teaching primary school children about the impact and effects of anti-social behaviour.

On Wednesday a group from Bellefield Primary School went on a ‘community walk’ with PCSO Gemma Bloomfield and PCSO Neil Usborne.

On the way they met staff from Lidl, Trowbridge Community Hospital, Adcroft Street Neighbourhood Watch Scheme, Co-op and Selwood Housing.

They learned about the consequences of anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, shoplifting and drunk and disorderly behaviour on businesses and individuals.

About 120 pupils took part, all aged between seven and 11, and PCSO Bloomfield said: “This is an ongoing programme to educate children about crime and anti-social behaviour in the community.

“It will also promote good citizenship.”
