A man who held up a Trowbridge petrol station at knifepoint has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Peter Osborne, of Wingfield Road, Trow-bridge, pleaded guilty to carrying out the New Year’s Eve offence at Tesco in County Way.
The 50-year-old admitted charges of robbery and possessing an offensive weapon when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Osborne is also due for sentencing on a charge of possessing a bladed article.
Marcus Davey, defending, asked for the case to be put off so the probation service could compile a pre-sentence report on Osborne.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the hearing until February 10, and remanded Osborne in custody until then.
Staff at the garage were confronted by the knife-wielding robber shortly before 5.30pm on Saturday, December 31.
He left after being handed £150 in cash, but the police were soon on the scene and Osborne was arrested within five minutes of the raid.
