More than 250 people descended on Trowbridge at the weekend to find out about tracing family history.
The Wiltshire Family History Society hosts its annual gathering in the town to give people an opportunity to find out how they can delve into their own family tree.
Jerry King, from the educational charity, said: “Quite often they’ve hit a brick wall and they are looking for help.
“They usually go away with lots of fresh ideas.
“There was a great atmosphere. We had people come from afar. I spoke to people who had come from London, Birmingham and Devon.”
