Historic hall plan in Trowbridge

Plans to build three houses in the grounds of the historic Rodwell Hall, off Victoria Road, Trowbridge, have re-emerged. Plans also show the conversion of the house into two homes. Wiltshire Council is due to make a decision in the next few weeks.

For the building to remain viable, it has to be broken down into smaller, affordable, living spaces. In London, Bath, etc. great houses are preserved by adapting them to modern living environments. For those wanting large houses, they buy them with land, not in residential areas like St Thomas's Road.
