3:03pm Wednesday 10th October 2012 in Trowbridge
A man who drove dangerously in a Trowbridge car park has been put on a suspended sentence by a judge.
Aiden Phipps-Lang was behind the wheel of a VW Golf when it was driven dangerously in The Shires car park in Trowbridge on Friday, March 9.
And in the following weeks the 25-year-old stole a BMW and tried to steal another car, Swindon Crown Court was told.
Phipps-Lang, now of Dawlish, Devon, pleaded guilty to theft, attempted theft and dangerous driving.
He admitted trying to steal a Vauxhall Corsa in Chippenham on Saturday, April 7 and taking the BMW, belonging to Wiltshire Motor Company, in Swindon on May 1.
Recorder Stephen Lennard imposed a 10-month jail term suspended for 18 months and put him on a nighttime curfew on weekends for six months.
He was also banned from the road for 18 months.
