Warminster Preparatory School pupil Freddie Mowbray is looking forward to visiting the Houses of Parliament after coming runner-up in a national art competition.

The theme for the Art in Parliament competition, which was judged by the House of Lords Works of Art committee, was Parliament and Me: Stories, Events and People.

Year 6 pupil Freddie, from Keevil, said: “I am really excited. My inspiration was the Dearsley window which shows a timeline of women getting the vote and my work shows a suffragette being arrested, as I felt this was a dramatic historical event.”
