Motorcyclist thrown from bike after collision with deer on A36

A motorcyclist from Trowbridge suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder after he came off his bike following a collision with a deer while driving along the A36 yesterday at 8.45pm.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene between the B390 junction and Heytesbury on the A36 shortly before 9pm.
The deer was killed in the incident and the motorcyclist, who was riding a Honda CBR 900 bike, was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with what was believed to be a dislocated shoulder.
One lane of the A36 was closed following the incident, but police re-opened the lane at 10.30pm.
