New Warminster shop getting the numbers
9:00am Sunday 9th March 2014 in Warminster
Owner of a new vintage interior design shop in Warminster says she is delighted with the positive reaction she has received from the community since opening just before Christmas.
Adele Kammeyer, who lives in Warminster, has been restoring and designing vintage furniture for the past few years, attending vintage fairs to sell her creations.
However, the 50-year-old decided to set up her own shop called Number Ten, after Warminster Antiques Centre, where she had worked for five years, closed down last year.
Number Ten Interiors, which is in Silver Street, sells antiques, interiors and collectables, with many of the furniture pieces hand painted by Mrs Kammeyer.
Mrs Kammeyer, who has a background in interior design, said: “I have always wanted to have my own shop as I really enjoy meeting new people and being part of the community and this seemed like an ideal opportunity.
“It’s mainly vintage pieces that I do up and I try to keep prices competitive so that I can get a fast turnover of items to allow me to keep bringing in new items every week.
“The shop’s location is really good and the demand is definitely there. I will be taking it slowly at first and I won’t look to expand too quickly, but I will work as hard as I can to make the shop a success.
“It is all very well priced and painted with a lot of care by me. We can also source furniture for customers and we can arrange delivery to their home or they can pick it up in store.”
Number Ten Interiors is located at 10 Silver Street, Warminster. For more information, visit www.numberteninteriors.co.uk
