Pupils at Warminster’s Kingdown School celebrated the end of their GCSE exams by having their annual school prom on Thursday.

This theme for this year’s event was fairground attractions, which included a buffet, disco, a photo booth and a number of fairground rides throughout the school.

The pupils arrived in a range of different vehicles which included a tank, horse and cart, an open top bus and a range of limousines.

Bath Rugby Captain, Stuart Hooper escorted  one of the pupils to the prom.

Rebecca Bishop, Head of Wembley House and PE Teacher at the school, said: “It was a magical evening. The pupils were impeccably behaved and so gracious.

“It is the highlight of the Year 11 calendar was a real opportunity to celebrate the end of their GCSE’s and the start of their summer. They have worked really hard in school.”

She helped to organise the prom along with teaching assistant Emma Taylor.

A number of the pupils themselves helped with the preparations with the event through the prom committee.

They are now looking forward to their GCSE results in August.

Many of the students will be going on to the sixth form but others will be going to college.
