Residents at Henford House in Warminster were both surprised and delighted when two donkeys walked into their lounge last week. Charlie and Dermott come from Danny Donkey and Pals Assisted Therapy run by Kelly Baker, based near Frome.
The residents had a wonderful afternoon stroking and petting the two donkeys who were so gentle and tolerant. Kelly took time to see everyone and even took Charlie and Dermott to meet some residents in their rooms so that no one was left out.
The care home’s activity organiser Gilli Urch said: “We all had a truly memorable afternoon and are already looking forward to another visit near Christmas.”
