Elderly in Warminster take tea and a byte with techies
Residents at The Abbeyfield Society in Warminster celebrated International Older People’s Day with a Tea and Teach session last week.
Barclays Digital Eagles teamed up with The Abbeyfield Society, a charity providing care for the elderly, to offer free technology advice at 80 Abbeyfield houses and homes across the UK, including Abbeyfield.
Four residents took part including 91-year-old Roy McFarland, who had been having trouble with his new iPad.
He said: “I got my iPad working, which was the most important thing because I use it to get library books.
“It is very useful.”
