Keen readers could be about to find love at first sight thanks to Warminster Library and their Blind Date With A Book project.

Launched on Monday, 30 different books have been wrapped up for people to come and pick at random.

Inside could be anything from Fifty Shades of Grey to Harry Potter as the event is being held for the second year in the run-up to Valentine’s Day on February 14.

Nicola Harris, Warminster Library supervisor, said: “It was really positive when we did it last year, so much so that children wanted their own version so we have wrapped up a selection of books for them to have a go.

“It is a complete mystery what people could get and that is the joy of the whole thing.”

A review slip will also be inside the wrapping paper for people to return to say whether their book was a flop or true love.

The books can be picked up for free from inside Warminster Library.
