A SIGNED Chelsea football shirt has been donated by striker Loic Remy to support the Jam for Jade fundraiser in aid of Naomi House children’s hospice.

The open jam session returns to the Wheatsheaf in Calne on March 14 in memory of Jade Randall-Brown who died at the hospice in 2012 aged 11 after battling several genetic disorders.

Doors will open from 1pm with a bouncy castle and raffle with the shirt, signed by multiple players including Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, will be put up for auction.

Organiser Simon Hansen said: “The event is an open jam session, a bit like an open mic night but we all play together more.

“Jade was only meant to live for six months but she was a little fighter and lived until 11.

“It started off as a few of us playing for money in the pub last year and we raised nearly £1,800 but we are hoping to top that this year.”

Naomi House offers respite and palliative care for young people with life-limiting conditions and began caring for Jade when she was six months old.

Jade’s mum Nikki Brown, who has since given birth to five-month-old son Logan, said: “Naomi’s House helped us with Jade throughout her whole life and her last few days, there’s no way I would have coped without their help, it’s a phenomenal place.

“The support is overwhelming, it makes me and my husband so proud that Jade has motivated people to do something like this.

“Despite all her medical problems she touched so many people; it’s really brought it home to us its fantastic.”

Organisers will be selling t-shirts and copies of their charity single throughout the day and are accepting raffle prize donations, contact jamforjade@yahoo.com for information.
