THE driver who died in the double fatal road traffic collision on the A36 a week ago has been named as Robert Mayall, 61, from Corton, near Warminster.
Mr Mayall was driving a Toyota Auris which was in collision with a silver Suzuki motorbike travelling towards Salisbury at Sherrington Lane, near Codford.
His wife, Alison Mayall, paid tribute, saying: "He was a big man - both in body and spirit.
"A true gentleman, a pillar of the community and friend to all ages.
"He has left a large hole in countless lives.
"I, my son, the family, our small community, the Church and far beyond will miss him dreadfully."
The other man who died was named as Steven Lillywhite, 49, of Fisherton De La Mere, Warminster, by police on Monday.
