WARMINSTER School achieved its best success in five years for its A level results, with a pass rate of 99.2%.
Headteacher at the school, Mark Mortimer, said: “I congratulate the pupils on their A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) results; I am particularly pleased that the great majority have got into their first-choice university and also that most of the pupils have achieved their full potential in their examinations.
“This is testament to their hard work and likewise that of the teachers at the school.”
Notable results included local pupil Jonathan Kermode with an A* and three A grades, Yuri Sheblov from Russia with four A grades and Head Girl, Emma Tizard from Salisbury, who achieved A*, A, B and will study at York University.
Jonathan has secured a place to read Mechanical Engineering at Bath, while Yuri has been accepted to read Economics at King’s College, London.
IB graduate Alexander Huebner will also be going to King’s after being placed in the world’s top 5% for IB cohort this year after getting 40 points.
