POLICE looking for missing Jade Sheppard have found the body of a young woman near Manor Industrial Estate, Warminster, shortly after 1pm today.

A police spokesmansaid: "Formal identification has not yet been carried out however officers have informed the next of kin.

"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death at this early stage. A full file will be prepared on behalf of H M Coroner for Wiltshire. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time."

Jade, 20, of The Heathlands, was last seen at around 7pm on Monday in the area of Manor Gardens and has not contacted her family since, which is out of character.

She was expected at work on Tuesday but did not attend her job as a cleaner which is also out of  character.

It is understood from her friends on Facebook she had been with her partner and his pals at a JD Wetherspoon pub before she went missing.

Her phone was turned on Monday afternoon but when friends tried calling her later that evening it was switched off and went straight to voicemail.

Concerns were then raised that she had not been home to change her clothes or been to work on Tuesday.

More than 220 people have been sharing a post this week, asking if anyone has seen her in the Warminster area. Friends have also been pleading to Jade to come home or make contact with them.

One friend said: “Your so silly jade people are starting to get worried now.”

Another added: “Jade Sheppard where are u babe!!?? Everyone includin myself are worried!! If you're too scared to go home just inbox me please hun and ill come and meet u wherever u are! I hope you see this! Xxxx”

Stella Clifford posted: “This is my daughter. Jade she has been missing from Warminster if anyone has seen her pls message me thanks.”

On Sunday, the day before she went missing, she posted two pictures on her Facebook which read: “You can’t change the cards you’re dealt, only how you play the hand.”

The other picture is of lyrics from a 2Pac song, which says: “Why am I fighting to live, if I’m just living to fight? Why am I trying to see, when there ain’t nothing in sight. Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try. Why am I dying to live, if I’m just living to die.”

Ruth Merritt, who lives on Dorothy Walk, said: “I saw a helicopter hanging for some time in the air and I wasn’t sure what it was doing.

“A friend told me that the road had been closed and that there was police tape and a vehicle down the road."

A passerby added: “I saw the police helicopter about 1pm and I obviously heard of a lady who had gone missing.

“A bloke from where I work came down here on his break and said there were police cars and they had cordoned the area off.”
