A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has been left heartbroken after his beloved pit bike was stolen from his garage overnight on Wednesday (May 4).

Westbury Leigh School pupil Liam Henry woke up on Thursday morning to go to school and was told by his dad that his KTM 65 bike, worth around £1,000, had been stolen.

Liam, of St John’s Road, Warminster, said: “When my dad told me that the bike wasn’t in the garage I didn’t believe him at first.

“I was absolutely devastated and really gutted because riding that bike was one of the things I loved to do more than anything else.

“Over the past month I had really got into it and was riding quite a lot. I went to a track near Bath most weekends with friends and a track in Cheddar as well.

“I was planning to go to riding with a friend this weekend but can’t anymore, which is really annoying.

“I had put a lot of effort into making the bike look really good with personalised stickers and things like that.

"I really hope it turns up, I loved it.

Police are currently investigating the burglarly, which took place sometime between 10pm on May 4 and 8am on May 5.

Mum Andrea Henry said: “We were absolutely devastated when we found out. Seeing Liam like this is really heart-breaking.

“We live on quite a quiet road but we do get people knocking on our door asking if we need work done and things like that.

“Those incidents seem innocuous at the time but after something like this happens your brain goes into overdrive and you begin to doubt things far more.

“It also makes you feel quite vulnerable knowing that someone has broken into your property and taken something that means so much to someone.”

The bike is orange in colour and has a number of stickers on, including a ‘Rockstar’ one. If you have any information, contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
