POLICE are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries involving expensive items in Tidworth over the past week.

The water treatment works in Humber Lane were targeted between 5pm yesterday (May 11) and 8am this morning and a silver Land Rover Defender 110 with the registration number RE06 WLB was stolen. The vehicle was a single truck cab with flat bed and a crane attachment on the rear.

A building site opposite Tedworth House was also broken into during the same time and a large amount of equipment was stolen including pipe lasers, tripod harnesses, petrol compacting plates and lifting chain hoists. The equipment is believed to be worth approximately £10,000.

On Monday (May 9), between 11.15pm and midnight, a storage unit in Jagdalik Road was broken into and a petrol generator and two fire extinguishers were stolen.

PC Andy Morgan said: "The items stolen in these burglaries are of high value and I am keen to hear from anybody who saw or heard anything suspicious in the areas targeted during these times to get in touch."
