CHAPMANSLADE Parish Council is urging residents to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in the village.

Last week, there were four reports of burglaries or attempted burglaries in the village, with items including a strimmer and bike helmet being stolen.

Chairman Phil Jefferson said: “It concerns us as it’s a spate and not just an isolated incident.

“We have sent an e-mail around to residents and have asked them to keep an eye out."

To report an incident, call Wiltshire Police on 101.
