A DEEP shade of purple was on show at Warminster's Wessex MS Therapy Centre after patients and staff dyed their hair to help sponsor the charity.

Throughout this month, everyone involved at the centre, in The Avenue, has been encouraged to dye their hair purple after raising an impressive £1,500 last year when orange was their chosen colour.

Such was the success of the 2015 edition, the dye was out in force again as organisers try to raise even more funds for the centre that offers pain relieving therapies for people suffering from multiple sclerosis.

Tony Jones, who lives in Salisbury and has MS had the idea that he should 'do something memorable' and decided to dye his hair a different colour every year.

"It is important that everyone who comes to the centre has a way of showing support," he said.

Rosie Eliot, centre director, added: "It is a challenge that everyone can achieve. Our members are always willing to support our fundraising efforts, but sometimes due to their illness, this cannot be achieved in a physical capacity.

"This challenge is inclusive and they can even choose a shade they like. The members, staff and volunteers can all join in by supporting their charity, and look fabulous while they do it."

The non-profit organisation offers physiotherapy, massage therapy, reflexology and runs two hyperbaric oxygen tanks that also support local people with chronic fatigue syndrome, cancer, sports injuries, fibromyalgia and many other conditions.
