WARMINSTER will honour the millions of soldiers who gave their lives in the First and Second World War this weekend during Remembrance Sunday.

On Armistice Day, Friday (November 11), a short service will be held in the field of remembrance at St Lawrence’s Chapel from 10.50am.

On Sunday (November 13), a procession will form at Station Road from 2pm, before it will march towards the war memorial along Portway at 2.45pm led by the Town Crier.

The parade will include Scouts and Guides groups, the Red Cross and St John Ambulance service and the Warminster branch of the Royal British Legion.

A service will be held at the war memorial from 3pm and service sheets are available in advance from the Warminster Civic Centre, the library and the Warminster Information Centre.

There will be rolling road closures to minimise disruption to traffic.
