A MOUNTAIN bike worth around £4,000 was stolen from Warminster's Center Parcs, prompting a police appeal.

On November 6, between 11.30am-1pm, a silver custom made Banshee Rune mountain bike, with metallic red rims, was stolen after being left chained to two children's bikes by a wooden barrier near to an indoor activity centre by a lake.

When the victim, a 40-year-old man from Gloucestershire, returned to the bike, he found the chain had been cut with a sharp tool and the bike had been stolen.

PC Charly Chilton said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was at Centre Parcs on this date who may have seen any suspicious behaviour near to the lake area between 11am and 1.30pm.

"This bike was custom made and worth a considerable amount of money - the victim is therefore desperate for it to be returned safely.
