STAFF and members of the Wessex MS Therapy Centre in Warminster were encouraged to dye their hair purple throughout the whole of October.
A total of 15 people gave their hair a new, vibrant colour and raised £1,600 in the process, which will go towards running costs at the centre.
Deputy director Sarah Williamson said: “We raised a fantastic amount, far more than we expected.
“It was also great fun and everyone really enjoyed it. Tony Jones, a member of the centre, still has purple dye in his hair – it can be quite hard to get rid of.”
Last year the centre, which offers pain relief for people suffering with multiple sclerosis, raised £1,500 with the month-long fundraising challenge.
