TWO purses were stolen from female shoppers’ handbags in quick succession in Warminster town centre on Thursday afternoon.
Between 3.15pm and 3.20pm a woman noticed that her purse, which contained only cards, was missing when she went to pay for an item in a shop.
Shortly before that, another female shopper paid for items in a Market Place shop and noticed shortly afterwards that her purse was missing.
Police advise to never leave bags unattended, particularly on shopping trollies, and to be aware of people around you at all times.
It is also advised that bags should remain zipped up with the clasp facing inwards and PIN numbers should never be carried with cards.
