RACS Group’s annual Christmas raffle raised a total of £10,287, the proceeds of which will be donated to six local charities.

As ever hundreds of prizes including TVs, mountain bikes, children’s toys plus a mountain of chocolates and drinks were won by lots of people who took part.

The raffle has evolved over the last four years into a significant fundraising event thanks to the efforts of the RACS Group staff, who find the time to sell the tickets.

This year’s chosen charities are Wessex Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, Warminster & District Stroke Club, Trowbridge-based Stepping Stones, Dorothy House Hospice Care, Bath Cats & Dogs Home and Warminster & District Food Bank.

Terry Hillier, managing director of RACS Group, said: “The raffle has become an integral aspect of the company's CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy and heralds the start of the festive season within the company.

“I am truly grateful to all the staff who managed to sell over ten thousand tickets in under a month.

“I would also like to thank our suppliers, many of whom bought tickets and contributed prizes.”

Many of the prizes still remain unclaimed and a full list of the winners can be viewed at: www.racsgroup.com/raffle/winners-16/

The six chosen charities will receive their cheques from Mr Hillier at RACS Group House next year.
