POLICE are appealing for a lorry driver to come forward following a collision in Fisherton De La Mere.

At around 9.20am yesterday morning (Monday, January 30), a silver Ford Mondeo was travelling along the A36 northbound towards Codford when it overtook a lorry as the dual carriageway merges into a single lane.

The driver of the Mondeo, a man in his 30s, is then believed to have lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall near to Fisherton De La Mere House.

The driver sustained internal injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by an ambulance.

PC Andy Lee said: "We are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward if they have not already spoken to police. In particular, we would like to speak to the driver of a lorry who is believed to have been overtaken by the driver prior to the collision.

"Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred."
