A NURSERY in Warminster has been hailed as “outstanding” by Ofsted inspectors in a glowing report.
Bright Beginnings registered in 1969 and moved to its current building in Firbank Crescent in 2010.
At an inspection carried out on December 2, 2016, it was found that “all adults work together in an outstanding way to meet the needs of all the children and their families”, to the delight of nursery manager Jo Webster.
She said: “I am thrilled that we have received this judgement from Ofsted.
“My team and I have worked continuously hard over the past year to bring in new changes to ensure the nursery offers children an environment where they can make excellent progress in their learning and development.
“We could not have achieved this without the continuous support from our strong committee team and our chairman, colonel Valerie Robertson.”
The report also states that Mrs Webster is "extremely knowledgeable about how young children learn" and that "very good attention is given to children’s communication skills".
Ofsted found the nursery, which has 53 children on roll, to be “outstanding” in all areas including effectiveness of the leadership and management, quality of teaching and personal development and outcomes for children.
There are 11 members of staff at the nursery who all hold early years qualifications to level 5.
This is the first time the nursery has been rated "outstanding" by Ofsted, having been rated "good" at a previous inspection in March 2014.
