A FESTIVAL focussing on the past is returning to the idyllic Stockton Park this summer for a vintage weekend filled with nostalgia.

The Vintage Nostalgia Festival, near Warminster, will serve up a unique experience for all ages with live music, vintage fashion, vintage trade stands, an air display, vintage car display, hot rods, automotive memorabilia, antiques, traditional crafts and various period exhibits from the turn of century through to the 1980s.

People can visit for the day on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 or stay for the whole weekend, camping or glamping on site, from June 1 onwards.

Organiser Russ Topham said: “If you enjoy spending time with family or friends, the festival is the perfect way to unwind.

“You can enter our best dressed competition, learn how to jive, swing dance to the Big R Band on Sunday, sample the finest real ale from Ringwood Brewery, enjoy theatrics, meander through the vintage village trade stand area and get busy in the children's activity and entertainment section.

“If that’s all too energetic for you, you could just sit back, relax with a Pimms on a 1967 London Routemaster bus with retractable sunroof and watch the Tiger Moth air display in the skies above.

“We also have a fabulous line up of live music and dance acts over the weekend offering jazz, blues, pop, swing, and rock n’ roll.

“The Vintage Nostalgia Festival is a quintessential English weekend away, so come and enjoy those balmy summer evenings with us.”

Anna Sin and her pop band will headline Friday night playing anything from the obvious to the unusual and the surprisingly modern.

They will be joined by six-piece retro girl band The Tootsie Rollers, who fuse old school classics with contemporary hits.

Saturday sees The Juke box Jets, The Retrobaits, Rip It Up and Catballou hit the stage, offering up fast paced rockabilly.

On Sunday, the festival will celebrate swing in style with The Big R Band, New Hawleans Jug Band, tea dances and classic car awards.

Visitors are encouraged to dress up and look the part, and there will be a team on hand at Pearls Pin Up to create any style or look for those who did not come suitably dressed.
