There are several exhibitions across Wiltshire dedicated to the war years in the county, to celebrate the centenary of the so-called Great War. One of the exhibitions, Wiltshire Does its Bit, which details how Wiltshire individuals and businesses responded to the demands of the war, is on display at Royal Wootton Bassett Library until Wednesday May 31.
Three other exhibitions – A Call to Arms , Keeping the Home Fires Burning and A Child’s War – are all available for community groups to hire, for free. To book, or for more details, call Heather Perry at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre on 01249 705500.
