SPITTING Feathers, the group fighting the planning application for a chicken factory in Sutton Veny, is set to learn the fate of the building on Wednesday, June 28.

A meeting of Wiltshire Council’s planning committee will take place at 3pm in County Hall and the controversial planning application is on the agenda.

Villagers have been protesting against the application, submitted by 2 Sisters Foods, ever since it was submitted to Wiltshire Council in April last year in fear it will "destroy the village" if approved.

Jack Ozanne, a member of Spitting Feathers, said: “We will protest, in peace, at County Hall to make our thoughts and presence known.

“MP Andrew Murrison is against the development, along with many of other people.

"We hope there’s enough clout behind the campaign to prevent the application from being approved and we feel that we have done enough.

“Even the Environmental Agency have said that the factory is not permissible in terms of noise pollution and other factors.”
