Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Warminster.

Two men entered a house in Masefield Road at approximately 11.10pm on August 30.

The men assaulted a 50-year-old woman living at the address, as well her two children aged in their 20s and 30s.

A search was carried out of a bedroom and approximately £150 was stolen before the two men left the scene.

Detective Constable Andy Henson of Central CID said: “This was a frightening experience for those inside the house at the time. It is fortunate that they were not more seriously injured.

“Incidents like this are rare in our county, however, we do not underestimate the impact they can have on victims and I would like to reassure them, and the wider community that we are carrying out a robust investigation into this incident utilising local CCTV, extensive house to house enquiries and forensic examination.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two men in the area around this time – you could have information which could be significant to our investigation.”

The first man is described as white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, stocky build and approximately 5 ft 6 inches tall. He was wearing a woolly hat and a grey jumper.

The second man is described as white, around the same age, of skinny build and approximately 5 ft 8 inches tall. He was wearing a dark coloured hat and jacket.

Fortunately, all three victims sustained just minor injuries but were left incredibly upset and shaken up.
