PUPILS at Sambourne C of E Primary School in Warminster were visited by a very special guest on Friday (November 17) morning.

Pudsey Bear made an appearance for Children in Need when the children were dressed up in yellow, red and spots to support the charity.

A bring and buy sale where children exchanged toys, books and games for a small donation to the charity was organised by the school council and raised more than £120.

Steph Coleman, admin officer at Sambourne Primary School said: “We were delighted to be paid a visit by Pudsey, he was so lovely giving out hugs and high fives to the children.

“Our school council arranged the fundraising initiates and the school is very proud of them.

“It was a great day of fundraising and the children really enjoyed it.”

The school council leaders were then interviewed live on BBC Radio Wiltshire where they talked about the day and their own fundraising initiates.
