DAVE Locke has been named as the new headteacher of Kingdown School in Warminster. He has been acting head since last October.
Mr Locke replaces Sara Edwards, who will continue to maintain close links to the school as CEO of the Acorn Education Trust at Kingdown.
Mr Locke first walked through the doors of Kingdown School 24 years ago as a newly qualified teacher of physics and science, and has been in several roles since.
Rev Denis Brett, chairman of Kingdown School Academy Council, said: “I am sure that parents, students and staff would like to join me in both congratulating Mr Locke on his appointment, and confirming our support for him as he leads the school forward.”
Mr Locke said: “I remain committed to taking Kingdown School from being great, to truly exceptional, in the coming months and years.”
