EIGHT year seven Kingdown pupils are the first to complete the school’s new online course, The Edge.

The course sees pupils working through their choice of ten different tasks both in and out of school, to help them develop important skills including leadership, organisation, resilience, initiate and communication.

Some of the tasks include volunteering to run a tutor time, completing one good deed everyday and raising money for charity.

David Richardson, assistant headteacher at Kingdown said: “Students are allowed to choose their own tasks to complete from a database of thousands.

“I am pleased to say that these pupils have graduated to Apprentice level of The Edge, after completing all 10 of their chosen tasks.

“Congratulations to the eight students above for their excellent effort and creative ideas, and to all year seven students currently working through their tasks.”
