Kingdown School students celebrated A-level success today with a set of ‘outstanding’ A-level results, beating attainment targets for the top grades.
Science and maths were well represented among the high achievers, like Will Trojack with A*s in maths and further maths and As in chemistry and physics.
Farieha Altaff also attained an A* in maths, and As in further maths, biology and chemistry.
Rebecca Prior received two A*s and A, and Emma Rogers one A* and two As, in a year group which achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.
Headteacher Sara Edwards said she was particularly proud of her students and staff, noting that 29.5 per cent of the academy school’s entries gained A* or A grades.
“Our results are outstanding and a tribute to the dedication and commitment of the staff and the hard work of our students,” she said.
“This A-level year group are exceptional, they are full of character; they have worked hard and fully contributed to the life of the school and community.
“We are very proud of their achievements and we wish them all the very best in their future lives.”
