Luxury Warminster care home changes hands

Luxury Warminster residential home Wren House has been sold to care home operator Montreux Living for an undisclosed sum.

The home, in Vicarage Street, caters for around 14 different residents in ground and first floor rooms, as well as separate assisted living apartments in the grounds.

Supposedly built by one of Sir Christopher Wren’s masons, the house itself is Georgian, from the early 19th century, and parts are listed Grade II.

It was sold on the instructions of the Directors of Wren House Ltd, who have operated the home since 1981, with Christie + Co as agents.

Marion Davies, executive director of Montreux Living, said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of Wren House.

“This is a beautiful boutique care home, which will be a lovely addition to the Montreux Living Group portfolio.”

The firm runs four other homes including Featherton House in the Cotswolds, Westerham Place in Kent and Willowmead in London.
